As usual, a story is slyly manipulated to create maximum hysteria. This is what the Prof really said:

In one tweet, a student said "For ppl asking, he called on 2 female students and was really rude and condescending to them. He word for word said 'the women in this class are useless let me call on a man' and after I called him out he said it was a 'joke' bc women are important for our species to reproduce."

So he didn't say all women are useless, he was talking about the women in the class. OK, then he made a joke about it and you could argue he was being insensitive to his female students and maybe he was, after this is snowflake culture.
