1945 Diary of Hitler Sympathizer Fetches over $700,000 at Auction; Media Spin the Truth into Its Opposite

Some postwar journals by future president John F. Kennedy just sold at auction for $718,000, after being expected to fetch only about $200,000.

The Kennedys were notorious Nazi sympathizers, so notorious that FDR had to call Joe Kennedy Sr. home from his post as the ambassador at the court of St. James. While the Queen Mother refused to leave London during the Blitz, Joe took his family and fled the city for the suburbs, which led to his being widely vilified as a coward. On top of his cowardice, Kennedy’s clear sympathy for Hitler turned the one-time presidential aspirant into political poison.

As for son Jack, if he had any sage observations, they are one of history’s best-kept secrets.
In the diary, Kennedy reflected on his time in a gutted Berlin and even saw Hitler's bunker, speculating that he was not killed. He wrote that Hitler "had in him the stuff of which legends are made." But Henderson said in an interview last month that should not be misinterpreted as sympathy for the German dictator.

"He said that in reference to the mystery surrounding him and not the evil he represented," Henderson said….

Henderson said she put the diary up for sale so it can be properly preserved, and she's confident the winning bidder will respect her wish. She said she wanted the sale to coincide with the 100th anniversary of Kennedy's birth this year.

"I'm more than pleased with the outcome," Henderson said. "I think it was the right price at the right time."
The “Henderson” in question would be “Deirdre Henderson, a research assistant in his campaign office in the late 1950s…”

Deirdre Henderson is lying like a Persian rug. Her motive is simple: If the truth were known, she would have made a fraction of the $718,000 killing she hauled in.

The young Jack Kennedy had no ideas of his own. Kennedy patriarch Joe Sr. told Jack what to think, and that was fine by the son.

Early in the war, Jack’s Harvard thesis, Why England Slept, was “edited,” at Joe Sr.’s behest, by New York Times columnist Arthur Krock. The elder Kennedy put together an aggressive, well-connected marketing campaign that turned Krock’s, er, Jack’s book into a bestseller.

Jack was a hero, to be sure, in large part due to being a great swimmer, a family tradition, but before he was a war hero he was a war heel.

While serving in Naval Intelligence, one of JFK’s mistresses was Inga Arvad, a Dane suspected of being a Nazi spy. The young whoremonger was ordered to cease and desist from any contact with her, but he ignored the order.

Jack Kennedy’s insubordination would have earned a junior officer with less powerful family connections a court martial, conviction, stripping of rank, separation from the Navy, and possible prison time. But Jack was a Kennedy. Instead, Joe Sr. got his wayward son transferred to the Pacific Theater of Operations, as skipper of a PT boat.

It turned out that Arvad, a gossip columnist and former Miss Denmark, was not a Nazi spy, but she had played footsie with the Nazis, including Hitler himself, for so long that the suspicion was justified. Besides, when you’re in the military, you follow orders. Unless you’re a Kennedy, that is.

In 1956, Harper Books published Profiles in Courage, a book that was part of the plan for the young senator from Massachusetts’ run for the White House in 1960. The book was a bestseller, won the Pulitzer Prize, and created the illusion that the junior senator was a man of letters.

In fact, the entire book had been written by family retainer Ted Sorenson. Thus, Profiles in Courage is part of the long history of fraudulent Pulitzers, only one of which has been revoked or returned (that one being Janet Cook’s Pulitzer for the journalism hoax she perpetrated on behalf of the Washington Post and the late Ben Bradlee).

I bought Profiles in Courage through the Scholastic Book Service when I was eight years old, and in the third grade. The only thing I recall from the book was a sentence that ran on for over an entire page. (It must have contained an army of semi-colons!) Since I had been taught that President Kennedy was a genius, I figured that the ability to write endless sentences was one of the hallmarks of genius.

My first college philosophy professor, the late Richard Magagna, informed his classes that he had the same talent President Kennedy had had, to read incredibly fast by splitting a page in two, and scanning each side separately.

I have no idea about Richard Magagna’s reading speed, but I figure that the story about JFK is just another myth.

Given that there is no evidence of any writing or intellectual talent on the part of the real JFK, I suspect that his dispatches out of Europe as a “correspondent” for Hearst were actually authored by someone else.

Deirdre Henderson’s fairy tale explaining away the truth behind Kennedy’s fascination with Hitler continues the JFK Myth, which is just one example of magical thinking which declares that people may not subject certain individuals, or members of certain classes, to rational thought or standards.

Just yesterday, I was recounting to my chief of research how, when I taught remedial College Composition, all the writing anthologies contained the same execrable essays by racist blacks: James Baldwin’s “If Black English isn’t a Language, Tell Me What is”; Alice Walker’s “Blue”; and “Maya Angelou’s” “Graduation Day in Stamps.” And yet, writing instructors using them are obligated to present them as being brilliant.

Baldwin made assertions without any arguments on their behalf, made false factual statements, and tried to guilt-trip whites into submitting to his demand. (For an example of a false factual statement, Baldwin asserted, in 1979, that all blacks knew what the sexual phrase “Jazz me” meant. The phrase was apparently part of the slang of Baldwin’s childhood in Harlem during the 1930s and ‘40s.)

In “Blue,” Alice Walker claimed to be able to read all of the world’s oppression in the eyes of a corralled horse.

And Maya Angelou/Marguerite Ann Johnson’s “memoir,” “Graduation,” purportedly about her school graduation in Stamps, Arkansas in 1940, which revolved around a supposed racist outrage perpetrated by her white principal, lacked credibility the first time I read it during the 1990s. It appeared to be revisionist history. Since then, I have learned to take all of her “memoirs” as fakery.

The only one of the three foregoing authors I taught was Alice Walker. Her essay was so bad that I had no choice but to “teach against the text.” However, I found the exercise tiresome and degrading, and went back to teaching worthy texts, which did not require that I shut down my reason, or lie about their quality.

For generations, it wasn’t just JFK, but Bobby Kennedy, too, who got the magic treatment.

Ted Kennedy also got that treatment for several years, but when he didn’t have the decency to get himself assassinated, and his evil became impossible for even the MSM to hide, it became impossible, outside of DPUSA fanatics and the state of Massachusetts to force the nation to adore him.

I have to wonder what the real motivation was for Senator Kennedy to give his old post-war journal to his young research assistant during the late 1950s, if indeed he gave it to her. I would think that he’d have told her to burn it. If it had come out that Sen. Kennedy was a Hitler sympathizer, his political career would have been as dead as his father’s. Jack Kennedy was one lucky dog—until the day his luck ran out.

BOSTON (AP) — A diary kept by a young John F. Kennedy during his brief stint as a journalist after World War II in which he reflected on Hitler and the weakness of the United Nations sold for more than $700,000 Wednesday, according to the auction house.

Boston-based RR Auction said the diary sold for $718,750, far exceeding the pre-sale estimate of $200,000. Joseph Alsop, a JFK collector from Beverly, outbid one other live and six telephone bidders in a packed house for the 61-page diary. Alsop, 71, plans to add it to his personal collection, auction officials said.

The diary, mostly typed but includes 12 handwritten pages, was written in 1945 when the 28-year-old Kennedy was a correspondent for Hearst newspapers and traveled through a devastated Europe.

Executive Vice President Bobby Livingston said the auction was thrilling, with bidders from around the country vying for the personal observations of the man who'd become president.

"My expectations were exceeded, but I'm not surprised because it's such a significant and historic manuscript," Livingston said.

Kennedy gave the diary to Deirdre Henderson, a research assistant in his campaign office in the late 1950s who now lives in the Boston area.

"He said that in reference to the mystery surrounding him and not the evil he represented," Henderson said.

Kennedy expressed doubt about the effectiveness of the fledgling United Nations, questioning whether it "will prove effective in the sense of its elaborate mechanics being frequently employed or vitally decisive in deterring war or peace."

Kennedy, the 35th U.S. president, served from January 1961 until he was assassinated in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963.

This JFK Diary was surfaced by Charles Hamilton (1914-1996), the handwriting expert, some 30 years ago. According to Hamilton, JFK not only went to the bunker in Berlin, but made a trip to see Hitler's Berchtesgaden palace in the Bavarian Alps.

John F. Kennedy seems to have had a fascination with Hitler, for whatever reason. To my knowledge, his biographers never noticed.

"He [JFK] wrote that Hitler 'had in him the stuff of which legends are made.' But Henderson said in an interview last month that should not be misinterpreted as sympathy for the German dictator."

"'He [Henderson] said that in reference to the mystery surrounding him [Hitler] and not the evil he represented,' Henderson said…."

Correct. Hitler is a legend for THE WRONG REASONS. Who remembers FDR, Churchill, or Stalin but almost everyone knows who Hitler is. For the wrong reasons.

Probably written by someone else. Ted Sorensen became active with the Kennedy family in 1953 so Ted was probably not the author. Ted was the actual author of the books and articles and essays that JFK wrote.

Blacks are always outraged about anything, no matter how trivial.

Margie too wrote five autobiographies. You have to wonder about the mentality of a person so in admiration of herself.

"all the writing anthologies contained the same execrable essays by racist blacks . . . And yet, writing instructors using them are obligated to present them as being brilliant."

Eldridge Cleaver, "Soul on Ice". Very important too. Must reading as now you understand fully well the anger and hate. OH SURE!

All nonsense and BS. My civics teacher in high school was just so gaga about JFK. Thought he was such an intellectual and vibrant, active and good man, the loving husband and all that.

Certain fortunate presidents fail to garner negative revisionist history--even with new facts and decades passed,to do so.Kennedy has one of those invulnerable images.Even compromising photos with Eva Braun would not change minds. The MSM would attribute that to Jack being Jack--no harm.In spite of everything,Ted never lost a Senate election. What does THAT say?I guess it helps to have the ability to speak forcefully.Maybe that's all there is to winning in national politics(see Obama).
Also AS important,is money...lots of it.Third in importance is bullshit*ing.
How Nixon and Carter got in,I'll never know.

Was America's first serial killer a black man? http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/how-the-servant-girl-annihilator-terrorized-1880s-austin/ar-BBAn1Qu?li=BBnbcA1

This article was actually quite fascinating, while they never caught the "servant girl annihilator", there were a number of suspects, the strongest candidates of which were black men. The early victims were black women, I did a bit of research on this case and discovered that eyewitnesses also identified a black suspect. The first victims boyfriend was a black man who was arrested but acquitted, another black man was arrested, convicted and sentenced to 7 yrs. (only 7 for murder?) but his conviction was overturned in 6 months, another black suspect was released after a hung jury. A Malaysian man was also suspected but never actually was proved to be the killer. A few white men appeared to be suspects also, but again no convictions.

This article is interesting not just for the serial killer angle but in that it seems to upend some cherished notions about what kind of justice black men received in the courts in the late 1800's. The modern belief is that any black man accused of heinous crimes of this nature are instantly strung up by KKK members and summarily executed. Yet nothing of the sort happened in spite of a large number of both black and white women being butchered by somebody, a somebody who is most likely a black man. Seems as though black men were getting more than a fair shake by the justice system, even back in those "good old days".

The only picture in this article shows a white man as suspect though, the author probably couldn't help but push the notions of the "great white defendant", even though most evidence pointed to a black perp. Typical media evil.

Maya Angelou was a liar and a thief. Could any one fact check her stories of being abused as a child? Could any one fact check that she was a dancer? She was given an advance by a publisher for a book that she never bothered to write, nor would she return the advance.
Maya plagiarized on US Postal Stamps. look it up.
