Robert Tanenbaum published his last Butch Karp novel, Fatal Conceit, in 2014. It's also the best one.
The story takes place during an election campaign. American mission personnel in Chechnya are attacked by terrorists with several killed, and the rest captured and held as hostages. The administration lies about what happened. The acting CIA chief, a former army general, is murdered in a New York City hotel room when he threatens to tell the truth to a congressional committee.
The villains pulling strings are the president's campaign manager (an Axelrod type) and national security chief (a homosexual Ivy League careerist). They try to find and kill a young woman who was having an affair with the dead CIA chief.
New York DA Butch Karp brings the defendants to trial with the administration and MSM denouncing him for "The Politics of Hate" and "political prosecution."
The book ends with a shocking trial, flavored by author Tanenbaum's experience in trying cases.
This novel looks to be based on the Benghazi Affair.
A very good read for followers of WEJB/NSU.

This is a followup to my email re the Rachel Dolezal race hoax. The news is showing the part where she lies about her father being black but the whole interview is illuminating. You simply must watch the whole video. Gotta love this reporter, he's asking sly questions that reveal her to be the disingenuous liar she is while mouthing PC blather to keep her off her guard. Apparently this woman has a history of staging race hoaxes, you know, nooses and anonymous hate mail. The kind of stuff that blacks, or self hating whites, can easily stage themselves and then play the victim role. She uses exactly the kind of rationalization they always do when challenged: "Why would anyone put their child or themselves through such a horrifying thing"? Well, Rachel, there are a lot of reasons why someone would do something like that. It shrouds you in the role of victim from which you can elicit sympathy from those around you, it also reinforces you hatred of white men white by convicting white men (let's be real about who she is hostile toward - white men) of hate crimes toward you (we all know in the world of P/C race logic an accusation is equivalent of guilt), so yes, there's a lot of reasons people might be motivated to stage a race hoax Ms. Dolezal.
Her expression when he challenges her about her father being black is hilarious, she desperately tries to cover up her lie with a blank innocent expression. This woman is truly a piece of work. Jerry PDX
