North Africa during the time of the Roman was Roman. Meaning persons who have the appearance of a modern Roman or maybe at the most a dark Sicilian.

Numbers of such soldiers settling had to be small anyhow.

NO such thing as English until at least after the Norman invasion anyhow.

Hannibal is a black man so they say. NONSENSE. There do exists busts from the era and the man was white as that term and word understood.
