The marine who took down the violent homeless man on the F train is about to be crucified as the next Bernard Goetz. In a sane society, like Goetz, he would be lauded as a preemptive hero, responding to a clear and present danger - a mentally ill lunatic threatening mass violence on public transport. But, post George Floyd (another dangerous criminal ) we are truly through the liberal looking glass and D.I.E (Diversity, Inclusiveness, Equity) mandates that the rights of criminals and homeless lunatics supercede the rights of normal people, who pay taxes for the right to travel on public transport free of homeless bums and sundry other scum sleeping on subway cars, stinking up the place, smoking weed on the train and utilizing violence, real or threatened
