It rained forty days and forty nights. The Hebrews spent forty years in the wilderness. Etc. This guy also torn into forty pieces. The end of one era and the start of another. In the case of the deceased surely this is so.
Crocs too work as a team to dismember a large animal. All bite a different part of the body at once and then roll their bodies. Dismemberment quick and sure.
