This weekend, for Memorial Day Weekend, TCM is showing war movies. On Friday night at 12:15 a.m. ET, TCM has John Ford’s They Were Expendable (1945), starring Robert Montgomery and John Wayne, and with Donna Reed and Ward Bond.
During filming, John Ford fell from his directors’ scaffold and broke a leg. Robert Montgomery finished directing the film.
N.S.: The old man supposedly said he couldn’t tell Montgomery’s segments from his own.

Memorial Day is not only about remembering our troops in all the wars,those who fought to defend our country from outsiders,but this year--for me--it has evolved into a secondary holiday:remembering the (White)country that was,from 1776 to circa 2001-2008.After 9/11 and especially when obama took office and then Trump,the push to destroy White America ramped up.Trump was the perceived target of the wrath of blm,the commies and antifa,but Whites in general,became the hated class,that is,unless you marched with negroes(and even then you were secretly despised).The plan was put into motion:Whites would be replaced by incompetent,illiterate and downright criminal minorities.The one party system,the media,the courts and law enforcement joined together in an Unholy Quartet to begin the path to our demise.
The USA's disintegration,I never saw coming,even as Obama was sworn in to destroy America,but I see it now as clear as a cool day after a thunderstorm.
Anyways,that's how I,'m celebrating Memorial Day 2023.

You keep reading my mind. I just told my family of how Memorial Day commemorates America vs. "America," which of course came from you. Or is it, you plant ideas in me, and then follow up on them?
Montgomery just asked "what would John have done" and then just did it.
WHAT JOHN WAYNE MIGHT HAVE SAID FOR A 2023 MEMORIAL DAY MESSAGE
"Pilgrims,you know who's "expendable" these days?It isn't White people,though that's what the stinking liberals are trying to accomplish,by slowly replacing us--it's the blacks and Mexicans and the few White idiots who want to genocide their own race.Those are the individuals who are expendable because they don't believe in what made our country the greatest ever--as it was --yes,I say WAS--all those years ago.
Every day of my life,I was proud to be an American and it can be that way again,but we'd have to get back to the formula which caused our greatness to shine.White people,White people,White people--and less black people(10% less),with much less Mexican people(20% less).
How?Make it uncomfortable for them to stay--enforce the laws that ruled this country for 230 years--and you know what--we'd be back to 90% White in a generation. As fast as it took to lose those numbers,we could gain them back.
We don't need non-Whites here,Pilgrims,we need people like you and me--who work hard and respect the ideas which our forefathers
believed in:freedom of speech,freedom to bear arms,freedom of religion and freedom from crime.Freedom to pursue happiness in a White country.
So as you enjoy the weekend,think of how YOU can help bring this country back.After all,it's up to you.
