Huntington quote:
“We’ll find other people so repugnant (with technology leading the way to meeting those people), that we won’t be able to avoid killing each other.”
It’s a variation of my theory of WHY diversity may be causing an increase of mass shootings. Now a mass murdering stand-up comic might say, “There’s only a few people us mass killers can really tolerate for any period of time—before I, personally, get sick of them being on the same planet that I’m on. I made a list: Girlfriends—a couple hours, wives—a few weeks, all other relatives—20 MINUTES, TOPS! After that, I start thinking about the guns I have in my closet. The rest of the world—I immediately think—where’s my rifle?”
That’s not me talking about myself [chuckle], but there is a group of people (5 percent?) with an edge to them—who don’t suffer idiots well—and are now firing bullets when provoked (in their minds—which is all that counts).
Fred Reed’s comment was spot on—“Liberals believe we should all love one another, and they hate those that don’t.”
Yogi Berra would nod at that one.
