On Saturday, August 4, TCM features Clint Eastwood in its Summer Under the Stars. At 10:15 p.m. ET, Coogan's Bluff (1968) is scheduled. Coogan's Bluff stars Eastwood as an Arizona cop who comes to New York City to bring back a fugitive (Don Stroud).

Lee J. Cobb is a NYC detective skeptical of the Arizonan and keeps calling him "Tex." Tish Sterling plays Stroud's druggie girlfriend who helps him escape.

With Susan Clark. Susan Clark was a gifted actress of the 1960s and 1970s, who often played sexy, intelligent women. In 197?, she made a big production TV movie about the life of Babe Didrickson Zaharias, who had been the world's greatest female athlete. As George Zaharias, the man Babe fell in love with and married, broken-down, old NFL great Alex (Paper Lion) Karras swept Clark off her feet.

Susan Clark plays a social worker type who catches Coogan's roving eye. This movie isn't shown on TV very often. A brutal fight scene was cut out of early 70's network showings.

James Edwards has an effective cameo as an undercover cop.

Coogan's Bluff shows NYC in the late 60's. The finale has a motorcycle chase in Manhattan's Fort Tryon Park.
