Think about it, millions of immigrants will try to bring other family members here. They will put their parents and grandparents on SSI. For never working a day in their lives they will receive free SSI checks, free medical, subsidized housing and free food. I worked with immigrants for over twenty years and the most demanding immigrants were people from India. Indian doctors come here and dump their parents on SSI. The Chinese, Russian, Korean and Paki elderly are the main immigrants that come here for SSI.During winter months they often jet back to their countries leaving much needed subsidized housing unoccupied, while still getting their SSI checks.
