In most locales, anytime you produce a firearm, you are telling the other person, "I intend to kill you". Whether you mean to do so or not is immaterial. That intent has been established for your. Obviously the jury did not understand the meaning of the law or it was not explained to them. OR the jury had blacks on it that did not want to send another young negro man away for ever.

As we speak the federal grand jury is hearing testimony on whether or not to indict Zimmerman for violating the civil rights of Treyvons.
