Fake “Ebola Expert” David Quammen Lies about Public Health Practices, and Asserts that “Because of Slavery,” Americans Must Permit African Ebola Carriers to Come Here, and Wipe Us Out

Ebola Expert to CNN: We Can’t Ban Flights from Liberia Because of Slavery

"I mean, we in America, how dare we turn our backs on Liberia given the fact that this is a country that was founded in the 1820s, 1830s because of American slavery."

On Anderson Cooper 360 Thursday, Ebola expert David Quammen argued that America had a “responsibility” to allow people from Liberia to fly into the country because of the legacy of American slavery.

Quammen, author of Ebola and Spillover, has been making the rounds on news outlets over the last few weeks as an expert on the history of Ebola. Thursday, Quammen offered Cooper his opinion on the proper American response to the epidemic [sic]:

Quammen: You can’t isolate neighborhoods, you can’t isolate nations. It doesn’t work. And people talk about, "Well, we shouldn’t allow any flights from Liberia." I mean, we in America, how dare we turn our backs on Liberia given the fact that this is a country that was founded in the 1820s, 1830s because of American slavery. We have a responsibility to stay connected to them and help them see this through.
N.S.: As Quammen well knows, isolation is the most fundamental public health response to any epidemic or, in this case, pandemic. Nigeria and Senegal are the only two African nations hit by Ebola to do this and, voila, they are the only nations to reportedly have gotten the epidemic under control. Quammen is not telling black African nations that they may not maintain fundamental public health practices. He is a Marxist, who wants to lay America and presumably other majority white nations to waste.

As Web commenters have pointed out, we have helped Liberia, and continue to help it, and there is no logical connection between helping a country in the grips of a pandemic, and permitting potential carriers to come from it and kill us. And as I already pointed out, this goes against all effective public health practices.

Quammen lies repeatedly early in the clip, in asserting that you may only isolate individuals that have already been diagnosed with the disease, as opposed to neighborhoods or countries. That is not how public health protocols for epidemics and pandemics work. If that were the case, it would be impossible to stop any epidemic, because people would be permitted to leave the affected area who had not yet presented symptoms (or who could mask their symptoms, say with aspirin), and who would then infect people in the other areas they travel through.

He then lies again, in claiming that it is “impossible” to track people from Ebola Zones, because they will simply fly to Mexico, and walk across the desert.

[He is deliberately echoing specious arguments made for the “impossibility” of America securing her borders. The blogger Ace of Spades argues, convincingly, I believe that this is no accident. He contends that open borders lobbyists are afraid that any concern for America’s public health must be stopped cold, because otherwise it could possibly imperil Obama’s planned amnesty of 20 million to 40 million illegal aliens.]

First of all, if it really were “impossible” to stop the flood of Ebola carriers, why is he concerned? Carriers could simply circumvent any ban on travelers coming from the Ebola Zone. Quammen is concerned, because he knows he’s lying. Carriers like Kenyan Thomas Eric Duncan fly out of, say, Nairobi, and switch flights in London. Their passports were stamped in Nairobi and, if “Obama” weren’t as evil as Quammen, our customs officials in London would refuse the carrier permission to board any flight headed for America.

As for Quammen’s Mexican fairy tale, he knows what would happen: The carrier would die in the desert.

The only logical conclusion to deduce from Quammen’s position is that he wishes to see America wiped out by Ebola, and any other pandemic to come along. In other words, he is a genocidal racial socialist.

Someone needs to ask him why he wants millions of Americans to die from a preventable plague, but that’s not going to happen. The MSM are promoting him, because they agree with him. Apparently, Quammen, Cooper, et al., think they will be protected from the plague, and that only “the little people” will get wiped out.

I called Quammen a "fake 'Ebola Expert,'” because if a man is a liar, his word can't be trusted, no matter how much he may know about a subject.
