Finally gone over to the dark side? Giving space to the most vacuous celebrities to ever exist? I'm kidding...Actually there are some issue underlying the Kardashians that do merit discussion.
Critics generally call these type of "celebs" as people famous for doing absolutely nothing. I disagree in the case of the Kardashians. There is something they do. They have sex with black men exclusively (well 2/3's of them anyways). The younger Kardashian girls are now being followed around by the media, every time they come in any kind of vicinity of a black rapper or athlete the media is hooking them up. They're going to start having sex with black men whether they want to or not, the media will make sure of that.
It seems as soon as a white female celeb hooks up with a black man it gets blasted over the media which serves as promotion. Heidi Klum for instance, hooked up with Seal and went from being a semi celeb model to hosting a reality show and is now a legitimately rich and famous celebrity. Media couldn't get enough A-Rod and Cameron Diaz or Madonna (who used having sex with black men early in her to promote herself), there are plenty more examples, too many to list but look at it this way: When was the last time the media made a big deal out of a white male celeb hooking up with a black woman? Can't really think of one time can you. It's actually more common than we think, Robert DeNiro has always exclusively hooked up with black women, David Bowie is married to Iman, Robin thicke's wife is black, Dirk Nowitzki's wife is black, there are many others but we aren't conscious of them (well we might "know" of some of these but they are not front page celeb news).
Why does the media only focus on white women and black men? A white man will never become famous simply for having sex with a black woman but the media will make a white woman famous just for having sex with a black man. Who is behind this? Who decides that valuable media space will be allocated to this specific interracial pairing?
Are there forces behind the scenes trying to promote white women with black men? Our daughters grow up being fed these messages. Many black men have an entitled attitude toward white women - They should have sex with us. I've actually heard black men openly accuse white women of not having sex with them because they're black and it's racist to reject them. Black men are the only race of men I've ever heard use that to get women to have sex with them. Pretty pathetic but due to media programming it's somehow acceptable for them (though god know a white man dare not ever suggest a black woman "should" have sex with them because he is white). Much of this black man/white woman pairing is actually spite toward white men which is a feminist tool utilized by bitter man hating women. Lesbianism is also an aspect of this (which could be a whole other discussion).
So yes, there are underlying issues as to why talentless, stupid and insecure females can find themselves at the pinnacle of celebrity. Any other thoughts on this? Jerry
