Interesting to note. Last three serial killers caught are black men: Anthony Sowell, Michael Madison, and now Samuel Little. Think the media will make note of that?
N.S.: No, but they will be sure to condemn anyone who notices it, while emphasizing the race of white serial killers.

John Floyd Thomas and Lonnie Franklin (The Grim Sleeper) are other black serial killers who surfaced in recent years, both in Los Angeles.

Look up Justin Cottrell: Rise of the Black Serial Killer. It's a book that demolishes the myth that only white men are serial killers. No only are there black serial killers, black men are more likely to be serial killers than white men by a factor of 2. Also, according to Cottrell, the number of black serial killers has actually been increasing in recent years. Of course, watching CSI, Law & Order and other such drivel you'd think a black serial killer is an extreme rarity. Simply not true.

WHY MOST SERIAL KILLERS ARE WHITE MEN
"So, why are most serial killers white men? The short answer is that serial murder is primarily a male enterprise, and in the U.S. white men outnumber black men seven to one. The long answer, however, is instructive**.
"The ratio of black to white criminal offenders generally increases with the progression from passive white collar crime to pernicious violent crime. In 2003, for example, blacks were imprisoned for violent crimes at approximately 7 times the per capita rate of whites, but only 4 times the white rate for property crimes. Serial murder, by any reckoning, ranks at the top of this progression. Consequently, black serial murderers should, per capita, outnumber their white counterparts by at least a factor of seven. In actuality, the factor is closer to two. The appropriate question, then, is not why most serial killers are white men, but rather why black men are only twice as likely as white men to be serial murderers. Criminality distributions provide the answer. The mean criminality of black males is almost 1.3 SD greater than the white. But, with a black-to-white variance ratio of 0.46, white men display much greater variability. A symmetric way to view this is in terms of black homogeneity rather than white variability. Either way, at the extraordinarily high level of criminality peculiar to the serial murderer, white representation increases. We explore this in more detail in the next section.
There are numerous internet pages and Youtube videos re the issue of black serial killers. Many lively discussions erupt around this issue. Not surprisingly black commenters universally deny that black men are rarely (or never) serial killers and continue to insist that most serial killers are white men no matter what evidence is presented because that's what they see. What they see in their minds indicates that white males have a predisposition to be serial killers that black men don't. They are actually correct though, about seeing more white faces in the news, media shows the public white serial killers and downplays black serial killers but they can't understand this is a media manipulation. Secondarily you try to explain that blacks make up 12% of US pop. so therefore seeing more white serial killers is logical because there are more white people. Simple? Yes, it is but in all discussions I've seen re this issue (check it out yourself) I have not seen one black internet commenter who can comprehend the concept of per capita. Seriously, not even one.
White men are more cold, calculating and thoughtful with regard to murder, especially serial killers?
Blacks by comparison are persons committing murder mostly on a spontaneous, emotional, and thoughtless basis. The mentality of the black somehow precludes serial killers? Cold and calculating is just not the black mans way of doing things?
And even if done in a cold and calculating manner, the black man still makes a lot of mistakes that leads to capture?
ONLY twice as likely as to be a serial killer. Blacks that is. OH< I am glad it is only twice as likely. What would it be if it was three or four times as likely or even more than that?
