On Thursday, the parents of Knoxville Horror victims Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom filed legal action to unseal the investigative file on disgraced Judge Richard Baumgartner, whose crimes led to new trials for two of the four "alleged" killers.
Baumgartner's downfall led to over a year of legal wrangling over whether new trials should be granted to all four defendants in the Knoxville Horror torture-murders.
Vanessa Coleman was retried in November. Her convictions resulted in a sentence of 35 years, down from 53 in her first trial. George Thomas will be retried on May 13.
