GRA: Dead at 70. Cancer. Maybe in 46,000 years...we'll all turn up again, like the worm in the story posted yesterday, but to whatever civilization is around then, WE'LL be the worm--and trying like hell to "replicate," I'm sure (chuckle).

Paul Reubens, one of the first victims of woke cancel culture, caught with his pants down...literally, in a porn theatre, so the network cancelled his show. I have no idea his politics, I'd like to assume he's a tds guy, especially since he was gay, but who knows.

His show Pee Wee's playhouse was kind of entertaining, at least compared to the usual saturday morning kids stuff, but its homosexual subtext and every other character being black detracted from what it really could have been.

A lot of "greats","iconic" and even "legendary",being thrown out there to describe Reubens. That's how bad the talent is these days.He had his moments, but "legendary"?

..No.

The only thing I liked that he EVER did,was the Tequila scene in his first movie. That's about it that I remember.Don Rickles,Johnny Carson,Bob Hope,Mel Brooks...THOSE were legendary entertainers.

I agree, his cultural impact was pretty minimal, I'm not even sure what he did besides the Pee Wee Herman character.

25 YEAR OLD ANGUS CLOUD SUPPLANTS PEE WEE HERMAN WITH 5 MILLION HITS--HE'S DEAD TOO;WHY DON'T I KNOW WHO HE IS?

GRA:When I was in my early 20s,I knew who the old timers were, who the young stars were(SNL cast, new actors/actresses/music stars)and my folks did too--there was no "generation gap".NOW,I haven't heard of 95% of the "stars" under 40--why?

(TMZ)Angus Cloud,25, was a rising star in Hollywood, and will perhaps best be remembered for his breakout role in the hit HBO series -- from 2019 to 2022 he starred as Fezco, the sometimes drug dealer/guardian angel for Zendaya's character, Rue Bennett.Apparent OD.

GRA:Answer:TV is fragmented now with HBO and Netflix. If you don't subscribe(and why would I?),much of the content and actors the public is aware of,I'M not.

Part two is--and I'll admit I used to read the National Enquirer years ago when there WERE celebrities to read about--but in 2023,I glance at an issue in the rack,at the grocery store, they don't write about the no-names of today, there ARE no Harrison Fords or Carrie Fishers coming up.Instead, the "Enquirer" continues to write about the "Friends" cast,Tom Cruise,DeNiro,Streisand,Trump,Biden and people who have been around for years--not Angus Cloud.

So apparently,I'd better get used to being the only one who has no clue who Angus Cloud was.
