N.S.: When you're a civilian and you interfere with a police action, you're not making an "intervention," you're committing obstruction of justice and assault on a police officer, in this case, attempted murder of three police officers.

Smashing into cop cars and trying to run cops over is using lethal force. Cops in Chicago cannot use their sidearms in that circumstance unless fired on first.
