Welch was called "Neutron Jack" because, like a neutron bomb, he eliminated people without eliminating property. Welch was architect of the idea that you could have an economy without workers.

Maybe it's coincidence,but when Welch left in 2001,the news and entertainment programming started a serious waterfall decline.
Not a "Seinfeld","Frasier","Wings" or "Friends" to be seen.But we got Brian Williams and Lesta Holt.
