I have mixed feelings about the Roseanne show, it was great when it first started, a hilarious spoof of blue collar life, but when Roseanne started pushing the lesbian agenda it collapsed. The reboot was OK, not as good as the original show in it's beginning but still better than most sitcoms currently on TV.
I still dislike Roseanne for her use of lesbianism in her war against men but her politics seemed to have swung to the right over the years and I suspect even farther to the right after being slammed so hard by PC extremism. I actually have to give her some grudging respect for not trying to appease the left by posing and posturing as a PC zealot in order to get back in the fold. That's what many of them do if they say something that gets them in hot water with the Hollywood liberal crowd, but Roseanne hasn't played the game.
The exec that fired Roseanne is named Channing Dungey and checking out her bio I suspect she was hired in order to make the network more "PC acceptable", some of her moves were clearly designed to do that. To her credit though, she nixed an episode of Blackish that was supposed to deal with NFL players kneeling, and knowing that show we know what slant that was going to take. She's actually a youngish rather attractive woman and has a white husband.
I hope she gets fired also, with her aboard the possibility of more atrocities like Blackish and Fresh off the Boat being broadcast probably goes up considerably. We don't need any more of that racist propaganda on TV. https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/5/16/1764828/-ABC-scraps-episode-of-Black-ish-dealing-with-Kaepernick-and-NFL-protests-Fans-want-to-know-why

Didn't Think It Through Properly"

ABC executives regret their "knee-jerk" decision to fire Roseanne Barr, and now believe that the network's spin-off series The Conners will fail under the weight of its own politically correct hubris, reports the Daily Mail, citing two anonymous execs.

"We didn't think it through properly. What Roseanne did was wrong but we shouldn't have rushed to fire her. It was almost a knee-jerk reaction by Ben [Sherwood] and Channing [Dungey] who should have launched an investigation," said one insider, who added "This would have given them more time to listen to the public, advertisers and cast members to determine the best decision."

The Roseanne reboot - which quickly became ABC's #1 top-rated series in April, was quickly derailed after the network suddenly fired star Roseanne Barr after she compared former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett to if the "Muslim brotherhood & Planet of the Apes had a bay," comments which were condemned by Dungey as "abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values."
GRA:It should have been left up to the viewers, the same way Samantha Bee and Colbert are allowed to stay on.
