“Four men convicted in March of a violent 2013 home break-in will spend the rest of their lives in prison, a judge ruled Friday.”
Well, the woman who addressed the camera had the “right” attitude in expressing sorrow for the perps’ families, who disrupted the hearing.
N.S.:
- Michael Pugh: 248 years
- Alexander Dupree: 248 years
- Demetre Brown: 248 years

They’ll never serve life. Twenty years or fewer down the line, those sentences will be commuted, and they’ll be paroled.

Four men sentenced in violent home break-in
INDIANAPOLIS -- Four men convicted in March of a violent 2013 home break-in will spend the rest of their lives in prison, a judge ruled Friday.
Adrian Anthony, Alexander Dupree, Michael Pugh and Demetre Brown were found guilty March 10 of breaking into a home on East 79th Street, where prosecutors alleged they sexually assaulted two women and shot one of them in the leg before robbing the family.

Marion Superior Court Judge Lisa Borges handed down the following sentences Friday:
- Michael Pugh: 248 years
- Alexander Dupree: 248 years
- Demetre Brown: 248 years
- Adrian Anthony: 318 years
“Significant sentences were ordered today for these men for their roles in a violent incident that no family in our city should ever experience," said Marion Co. Prosecutor Terry Curry. "The victims were robbed and attacked in their own home, over the course of two hours, by what we believe to be a group of six men. We hope that the successful convictions and knowledge that these men will serve effective life sentences will help to bring a sense of security to the victims’ family and to our community.”
Anthony and Pugh still face 40 total counts each for their alleged involvement in a home invasion that took place on North Spring Mill Road incident on October 24, 2013. In addition, Trae Spells and a fourth defendant, Taiwan Lundy, are charged in that incident. The case is expected to be set for a jury trial this spring in Criminal Court 6.
