Chinatown (1974): Jerry Goldsmith's Complete Score and Photoessay

Jerry Goldsmith, right, 1970s (presumably early '70s)

Other Works by Jerry Goldsmith at WEJB/NSU:

“The Jerry Goldsmith Memorial Concert: Come Celebrate the Maestro's Life on the Tenth Anniversary of His Death!”;

Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979); Jerry Goldsmith’s Complete Soundtrack.”

Jack Nicholson, a bandage, and Fay Dunaway

Re-posted by Nicholas Stix

Was Chinatown Jerry Goldsmith's greatest score? The Blue Max? Patton? I put my money on Patton, but one thing is inarguable, in my mind: Chinatown was the greatest picture Goldsmith ever got the chance to score.

John Huston and Jack Nicholson

I had planned on including this score in my memorial concert, but ran out of time. Next year, it’ll be on the program.
