Breaking News: “Random” Mass Murder-Suicide in Menasha, Wisconsin; One Wounded in Critical Condition

Public asked to stay clear of Fritse Park

MENASHA, Wis. —Police say multiple people were shot Sunday on Trestle Trail Bridge in Menasha.

Authorities responded to an active-shooter situation around 7:30 p.m.

Menasha police said four people are dead, including the suspected shooter. They said one person is injured and in critical condition at a nearby hospital.

Police said the incident appeared to be a random act. They said the public is not in danger.

The public is asked to stay clear of Fritse Park and the bridge. Theda Clark Medical Center was put on a controlled-access lock down after the incident. Another hospital in Appleton was also put on lock down for a short time as a precaution.

I can't think of any group that would want to randomly shoot people on bridge, or cartoon conference for that matter. Authorities never have a clue why people who aren't mideast terrorists could be motivated to act like mideast terrorists.
