Two steal money from Girl Scouts in Bowie
November 5, 2011 - 1:08 p.m.
Police are looking for two men who stole money from Girl Scouts in Bowie.
On October 28, a Girl Scout troop was selling cookies in front of a Wal-Mart located at 3300 Crain Highway.
A man approached and asked about the price of the cookies. He then grabbed the cash box and fled on foot.
A witness chased the man toward the rear of the Wal-Mart until a second man said he would catch the first.
Believing the second man was a Good Samaritan, the witness stopped chasing the man.
Both men were last seen entering the woods at the back of the Wal-Mart.
Security cameras showed both men in the store together.
Anyone with information is asked to call Bowie Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (301) 575-2480.
By the way, Bowie, Maryland is in the heart of majority-black Prince George’s County. The Washington Post wrote a profile of this county a few days ago, “Prince George’s County: Growing, and growing more segregated, census shows,” pointing out that it is one of the most affluent black enclaves in the country, yet its public schools had the lowest standardized scores of all districts in Maryland.
I just returned from Prince George’s County. Spent a week there visiting family. Was overwhelmed trying to count all the houses with bars on the doors and windows in my old ‘hood. And this is a neighborhood with many homes valued at well north of $300,000 each!
Sad, but it “tipped” a few decades ago.
It shows in the number of murders in the county.
N.S.: Prince George’s County is a concrete refutation of the myth promoted fanatically by academia and the MSM that crime is caused by poverty, a myth which was disproved in the most systematic fashion by the New Century Foundation/American Renaissance report, The Color of Crime, in 2005.
