"SANCTUARY CITY?"--NOT PORTLAND! SEVEN SHOT FRIDAY/SATURDAY AFTERNOON IN FOUR DIFFERENT CRIME SPREES;COPS KILL ONE FOR FUN,THEMSELVES.
(KGY TV)PORTLAND, Ore. — Over the past 24 hours, seven people have been injured in four separate shootings across Portland, and one person has died in police custody.
Four were wounded after a teenager allegedly shot them at an East Portland event center around 9:45 p.m. Friday.
Three officers were placed on administrative leave after responding to a welfare check at 10:03 p.m. Friday in the Kenton neighborhood. That incident ended with a man dying in police custody at the hospital.
Early Saturday, around 12:56 a.m., a man was shot in the jaw at a Northeast Portland convenience store parking lot in the 7100 block of Northeast Lombard Street. The man was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, but the suspect or suspects left the scene before police got there.
Later Saturday morning, at 6:16 a.m., a man was shot multiple times in the leg in the 5300 block of North Maryland Avenue.
About three hours later, at 9:36 a.m. on Saturday, another person was shot in the legs at Southwest 12th and Columbia Street.
Police have not made arrests in any of the three Saturday shootings. All three victims from the Saturday shootings are expected to survive.
Chief Bob Day said it's been a "tough 12 hours for Portlanders" at the brief press conference Saturday afternoon, calling the in-custody death a "tragedy."
(GRA:Not a "tough day" for WHITE Portlanders,I assume--and the blacks/mex involved will "get over it"--by shooting someone else tonight.)
Day added that he feels police are "well prepared" for the upcoming Post Malone concert at Providence Park — expected to draw more than 31,000 people downtown — saying that there will be 40 officers in the area during the afternoon and 30 more at night, including himself.
GRA:I wouldn't go to that concert unless I had on a bulletproof vest--from my head to my toes. Even then--no--I hate Post Malone.

DETROIT COPS LOOK FOR PERPS AFTER DRIVE-BY SHOOTING KILLS PRESENT(AND FUTURE)THUGS
DETROIT (FOX 2) - Three people were shot, and two are dead in a shooting near Denby High School on Friday evening, according to sources.
Detroit police said that the shooting, possibly a drive-by, occurred at 6:12 p.m. near Skinner Park on Duchess Street, close to Morang Ave.
Two people were found dead, including a 4-year-old and an 18-year-old, according to officials. The survivor is a 17-year-old with non-life-threatening injuries.
"Anytime you have a 4-year-old, a young person of that age that’s fatally wounded. All life is valuable. But this one right here particularly gets to me," said Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison. "The 4-year-old received a gunshot wound to the back."
Detroit police say two people who were arrested Friday night as persons of interest, were released Saturday as they were determined to have not been involved.
"We are still asking for the communities help. If anyone had seen anything, please contact Detroit Police or Crime Stoppers," police said in a statement.
"In these types of situations, typically it’s always an argument. Some type of dispute and people with guns, they want to settle beefs with firearms," Bettison said. "We’re going to ensure that we work this case relentlessly to bring the perpetrators to justice."

(FOX29)PHILADELPHIA - Two(black)people are facing charges for a deadly house fire in Philadelphia that claimed the lives of two children and their pregnant mother.
Charles Sumpter, 67, and Fleitte Newell, 44, were taken into custody on Wednesday and charged with murder and related offenses.
Firefighters were called to a property on the 2500 block of North Corlies Street just before 5 a.m. for reports of a house fire.
Five people were inside the home at the time of the fire, including three children and two adults.
Investigators say 4-year-old Alaya Thompson and 6-year-old Assad Thompson-Newell were pronounced dead at the hospital.
Fire that killed mother, 2 children deliberately set
The Philadelphia Fire Marshal reports that the early morning Strawberry Mansion rowhome fire that killed a mother and her two children was deliberately set.
Their mother, 32-year-old Ashley Thompson, who was 8-months pregnant, was pronounced dead at the scene of the fire.
A 2-year-old and a 54-year-old woman were rescued from the fire and remain in stable condition.
Two people, Charles Sumpter, 67, and Fleitte Newell, 44, were arrested on Wednesday at a property in Strawberry Mansion.
They have been charged with murder and other crimes related to the deadly fire.
Philadelphia police sources say the oldest survivor of the fire, a 54-year-old grandmother who leaped with a two-year-old in her arms from a window, is the sister of the woman charged. Newell is believed to have been battling over inheriting the rowhouse, police sources say.
GRA:They didn't understand,that if you go to prison for life,you DON'T inherit s**t?

Several hours? (And so close to making a Uvalde reference here.)
A news blackout, too? No name, no arrest as far as we know, a quirky human interest story. Only a blurry face, which was so ugly ... (HOW UGLY WAS IT?)... she had a face that could stop rush-hour traffic.
Will you still need me? Will you still feed me? When I'm sixty-four? Entertaining cartoon video.
