A reader writes of times he violated “The Talk,” and lived to tell
I once violated rule 10 h.
I was driving up a curvy mountain road in the dark to watch the sunrise from on top of the mountain. Someone was stopped with their trouble flashers on. I stopped and promised to give him a ride on my way back down the mountain. It was dark and I didn’t realize until my return in the daylight that he was black. A promise is a promise, so I gave him a ride.
Naturally I was worried, so as I was trained at a professional racing school, I drove at racing speeds down the mountain and around the curves. I figured he would be afraid to try anything, knowing that if he attacked we would likely both die. When I got back to civilization I dropped him off at his apartment, and he tried to pay me for the ride, but I refused.
Once I gave a young American indian girl (feather) a ride. I know it was foolish, but I am a guy, and didn’t want to leave her alongside the road.

Mass Shooting: Paterson Man Dead, 4 Wounded In Newark, Prosecutor Says (Photos)
A Paterson man was killed and four others were injured in a mass shooting in Newark late Monday, June 23, authorities said.
At 11:40 p.m., Newark police responded to 367 6th Ave. and found five individuals struck by gunfire, a spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said.
Brandyn Waters, 18, sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead, authorities said. Four men, 26, 24, and two 19-year-olds were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, authorities said.

At 1:30 am,bullets began flying after a group of men got involved. 160 bullet casings were found.
(Baltimore Sun) Baltimore saw two separate shootings of four negroes each,on June 23rd. Officers began looking into a quadruple shooting in West Baltimore less than three hours after four others were injured in Carrollton Ridge. No nig naps reported with either incident.
