I agree--but with the stupid and cowardly typical Republican politician, I doubt there is the will to rock the boat and go after the tyrannical Democrats. Instead, I fear most will cower in the corner and plead, "eat me last."

How different things might be if the "Republican" House had taken a hard line on Justice issues starting in January 2023 on behalf of the January 6 prisoners. Imagine if they had completely bogged down Democrat spending and policy measures until the DC courts and jail systems were reformed.
But they didn't. And in fact the vast majority of elected Republicans still aren't on board with a MAGA mindset. Not in DC. Not in the states, for the most part. The GOP really is hopeless.
Defeat it, dismantle it, and I'll take my chances on whatever fills the void. At this point, I'm in a mood for rebuilding for a better 22nd century. Do it for the great-great-grandchildren. Otherwise they'll be stuck with Erastus Bush IV.
Which is why I plan to #BlankTheDownBallot2024. And the Presidency, too, if Trump picks a dealbreaker VP. No more of this lesser-of-two-evils voting. It's not good enough that my RINO congressman sends a glossy mailer in October boasting that he's pro-life and supports the Second Amendment. Just let the Democrats' BLM freak take the seat.

Trials are won and lost during judge and jury selection. The right people with the right ideologies will believe whatever reinforces their pre existing biases. How many times have we seen this play out now? That OJ was innocent, or that Derek Chauvin committed actual murder? There have been occasional victories as with Rittenhouse or Zimmerman but it seems that the left is doing a better job overall of manipulating the justice system getting the right players in the right places even before the trials begin. Now the ultimate victory: Convicting a political player on the cusp of being re elected of a non existent crime. That the Repubs have allowed themselves to be so badly outmaneuvered is downright shameful and pathetic.
Hopefully many more will be everywhere. Any society that allows this to occur when it should not happen is a society that perhaps doesn't deserve to exist anymore. Like USA.
It isn't the U.S.A. anymore--U.S.C.--is more like it.
