And people think the powers that be care about our lives? 50,000 people a year die from opioid overdoses in the US, many of them young people in college, high school or even grade school. These young people get the drugs right from their parents medicine cabinets but there is little media attention given to the dangers of opioids. When I do see something about it, it's usually a local news story that flashes quickly by and makes little impression on the audience. I've lost somebody very close to me because of an opioid overdose and my kids have at least 7 friends that died of opioid OD's. By the time I was their age, I only knew one kid that had died before the age of 20, and he was killed in a motorcycle accident. I've read that the true number of opioid deaths in this country has been massively underestimated and I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if that was true.

So where is the media campaign to educate people on the dangers of opioids? Where is the hysteria to "save lives", especially young lives? Opioids don't get a fraction of the gigantic media coverage that a handful thugs like George Floyd who get themselves killed by cops do. Opioid deaths don't get remotely the attention that Covid does, despite the fact that yearly (the last 2 yrs.) 10,000 people under the age of 30 die of opioids whereas around 5,000 people under the age of 30 died from Covid (assuming they really did die of Covid). The death rate for young people is twice what it is with opioids but those deaths don't get a fraction the coverage that Covid deaths do.

Of course what would happen if it did? It would hurt the pharma industries multi billion dollar profits...that's what would happen. And people think it's our lives that they care about? No, it's not our lives, it's the big pharmas profits. That's what Covid is all about and that's what blanketing the country with "pain management" drugs is all about.

Most opioid deaths are Whites--no one cares. In fact, the commies approve of White overdose death.

I know people as well, mostly neighbors, who have OD'ed.The beginning may be a prescription--or not--but what kills them is going to the nig drug dealer down the street to purchase what they want.I know someone who I had to separate myself from years ago,who is 38 and in the final destructive weeks/months of her life due to heroin addiction. She gets arrested within a month of serving time for possession, goes back, gets released and repeats the insanity. Her mugshots have become hideous. She got involved with blacks as well.

Opioids work. Good in the short term. Bad in the long term.
