The racists have been manipulating the definition of racism for a long time. I'd get into debates with Afrosupremists and they invariably tell me that they "can't be racist" because the definition says you must have power over someone to be a racist, and black people don't have power over Whites. I don't know about that, I think a gang of 10 negroes on a deserted street with just me qualifies them as having power over me.
Of course, specifying Whites in the definition is a way around that kind of argument but if ignores the long history and current practices of slavery, religious/ethnic/gender discrimination and bigotry in Africa and Asian countries.
