ATR: Do church choirs in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan do the same thing every Sunday?

No,but I wouldn't doubt that they do it in Lower Peninsula cities like Muskegon,Kalamazoo and Benton Harbor.Grand Rapids has vigils after weeklong shooting fatalities occur in the ghetto (almost the entire city now).That happens a few times a year--after an initial gang shooting,which is followed by the automatic back and forth retribution shooting/killing.After 3 of those in a short time frame,the candles and placards come out--and TV coverage of black mothers telling "someone","dis has got to stop,"is yelled at the viewing audience.
Tell your own kids--not everyone elses.Go through their stuff,find their guns,ground them,confiscate their drugs,make them study (if they're capable).
Vigils are for show.

You can even suggest that everyone is lucky the competition was not shot up in the aftermath of the event by sore losers.
