KNOXVILLE HORROR NEWS! Thomas Deal Turns Sour?
Jamie Satterfield reports on a hearing Wednesday that may put the deal by which George Thomas testified for the prosecution in last month's trial of Eric Boyd for his part in the Christian-Newsom Knoxville Horror murders in "doubt."
"Senior Judge Walter Kurtz said at a hearing Wednesday he knew nothing about the deal prosecutors offered Thomas to testify against Eric Boyd last month, and he's not sure he can approve it."
Kurtz presided at Thomas' 2013 retrial, which we attended. Thomas wore a Muslim skullcap at yesterday's hearing.
