What Sally Yates Did
By Nicholas Stix
Well, Sally Yates, who lied about the law, and sought to obstruct the administration of justice, used her last few days in office as interim AG, to get herself a plum position. Any day now, expect to hear her named to a well-paying position requiring very little work, as a law school professor at an overpriced, private university, and/or a partner at a white-shoe law firm. She knew exactly what she was doing, and why. Yates served under an illegal president and corrupt, racist, AG who broke the law every day, yet she had no pangs of conscience, and never spoke out against him.
Despicable, crybaby, Chuck Schumer lied, as usual. For eight years, Schumer supported "Obama's" racist criminal generals:
“Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, of New York, issued a statement late Monday night saying the Yates firing ‘underscores how important it is to have an Attorney General who will stand up to the White House when they are violating the law. Many people have doubts about whether (attorney general nominee) Jeff Sessions can be that person, and the full Senate and the American people should at the very least know exactly how independent he plans to be before voting on him.
“The Attorney General should be loyal and pledge fidelity to the law, not the White House. The fact that this administration doesn’t understand that is chilling,” Schumer said.
On the Senate floor, he remarked, “She was fired because she would not enact, pursue the executive order on the belief that it was illegal, perhaps unconstitutional. It was a profile in courage.”
Chuck Schumer and his fellow Senate members of DPUSA have deliberately sandbagged the confirmation hearings of Attorney General-designate Jeff Sessions, so they could wreak havoc, and now they have.
On the graveyard shift at CNN, an old friend of Yates,’ Michael Moore (not that Michael Moore, but a former U.S. attorney) also lied, in asserting that the President’s executive order pausing immigration from certain Moslem countries was unconstitutional and discriminatory.
The CNN cheerleader of course never brought up that the John Doe calling himself “Barack Obama” had issued an identical EO pausing the immigration of so-called refugees from Iraq, which Michael Moore had never attacked.
Here's the relevant law which grants the President the power to do what both Obama and Trump did:
In a just world, Sally Yates would be disbarred. Instead, she will be celebrated and enriched.
