HOUSTON (KTRK/ABC) -- Police are looking for two shooters who gunned down a man in front of his family outside their northeast Houston home.

The shooting happened around 1:30am on Turner at Edgeworth.

Police say multiple people called 911 when they heard gunshots and saw people running in the streets.

When officers arrived, they said they found a man in his 50s shot to death in the front yard of a home.

According to investigators, two young black men walked up to the victim's driveway while he and his family were standing in their yard.

Police said both men pulled out semi-automatic assault rifles and opened fire, shooting the man multiple times. He died at the scene and the gunmen fled.

Detectives are being told by witnesses it was two men the victim had an argument with about money, possibly over $6. Officials believe there may be more to the story.

Anyone with information can call police or Crime Stoppers.
