The Richmond Times-Dispatch posted the video and the following: “WARNING: GRAPHIC LANGUAGE AND VIOLENCE. Richmond police say this assault took place about 1 a.m. on Jan. 21 in the 1700 block of East Cary Street. The video was posted on YouTube by the assailants.”
Richmond police are seeking help from the public in identifying and locating the people responsible for a robbery and assault in the city's Shockoe Bottom entertainment district last week.
The incident occurred Jan. 21 about 1 a.m. in the 1700 block of East Cary Street.
A video posted to YouTube after the robbery showed a male being attacked by several other males. The victim’s wallet was taken during the struggle.
YouTube subsequently said the video had been removed by the user.
