Mayor Johnson, Supt. Snelling react to violent weekend
Police are now calling for federal help to stop the shootings.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- One hundred and nine people have been shot, 19 fatally, in gun violence across Chicago since Wednesday during the extended Fourth of July holiday weekend, police said.

Superintendent Larry Snelling and Mayor Brandon Johnson both called for accountability for those responsible for the shootings.

Johnson was pressed to address what adjustments need to be made to keep the community safe, his response was simply getting more support.

(GRA:Translation:"It can't be done--these are all jigaboos,ya know.")

.
Superintendent Snelling said adjustments were made after the Fourth of July heading into the weekend including canceling off days for police, but ultimately, he said they need communities to come forward.

"We have to really stop and think about the mindset of someone who will shoot a child, a helpless child,an unarmed mother and think that that's okay. And go about their days," he said. "Those people have to be taken off the street. They have to be put away if we're not doing that. Then we're failing other families."

(GRA:What's holding them back--besides THEMSELVES?)

Mayor Johnson, who was out of town on July 4th(GRA:Where it's SAFE),but here for a community rally the next day,(GRA:With plenty of police)was pressed for solutions to the violence. He said he's asked for more resources from the federal government to help invest more resources into communities.

(GRA:More money from Whitey.)

"Black death has been unfortunately accepted in this country for a very long time," Johnson said. "Let's tell the full story of how we got here because if you skip a chapter, it won't give us the ability to actually make the proper adjustments so that we can ensure that stronger and safer becomes a reality.
(GRA:There ARE no proper adjustments except clearing the city of negroes.)
