(clickondetroit)DETROIT – Police are investigating a deadly shooting at a block party on Detroit’s east side.
Michigan State Police said two people were killed and 19 others were injured in the shooting.
Detroit police said the victims were attending a block party when someone opened fire at 2:25 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2024, in the area of Reno Street and Rossini Drive.
No arrests have been made.
Detroit mayor Mike Duggan and police chief James White plan to hold a joint press conference on Monday at 11 a.m. to talk about action being taken after multiple shootings at block parties in the city. You can watch that live streaming on Local 4+
Detroit police released the following statement:
“The Department can confirm multiple people were shot earlier in this morning in the 13000 of Rossini, resulting in the loss of two lives. At this time, investigators and forensic personnel are analyzing all available evidence and will be continuing their work through the weekend.
“DPD will be implementing a comprehensive new strategy regarding block parties and will provide full details tomorrow at a briefing with the chief and the mayor.”
(GRA:New strategy,lol. The only strategy is a curfew or lifting all the houses--that blacks live in--off their foundations and dumping them into Lake Erie.)

“The violence at several block parties over the last three days has been heartbreaking for this city. Young people and innocent neighbors are being put at risk every weekend. Chief White and I will hold a full briefing tomorrow to discuss this spike in violence at these events and our plans to address it,” Duggan said in a statement.
The shooting comes amid a violent holiday weekend nationwide. Violence and mass shootings often surge in the summer months, especially around the Fourth of July. Researchers say the reason is a combination of factors, including more social events and more alcohol consumption.

I HAD to post that story under Darwin Award winners.Any blacks that go to a "black block party" are automatic nominees for a Darwin just for being stupid enough to attend.

CHICAGO COUNTS 87 nIGS SHOT AND 16 LISTED AS BUZZARD FOOD THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.

(Breitbart)At least 87 people were shot, 16 of them fatally, by Sunday morning of July 4th weekend in Mayor Brandon Johnson’s (D) Chicago.
Breitbart News reported at least 58 people were shot in the city during the first portion of the holiday weekend, Wednesday night to Friday night alone.
The violence was so great that ABC 7 / Chicago Sun-Times pointed out one Chicago resident referred to July 4th as “assassination day.”
By Sunday morning the total number of shooting victims was at least 87.
ABC 7 / Chicago Sun-Times noted that many of the incidents involved multiple gunmen and also included drive-by shootings (where the number of gunmen is unknown). More than one incident was described as “mass shooting,” with numerous lives taken in that fashion.
