ongoing nafta: thanks bushes-clinton-et al-john deere sending more jobs to mexico

just after nafta came into force, there was a sobering series in the Grand Rapids Press, "Michigan-to-Mexico," tracing the flow of manufacturing jobs from the midwest to south of the border. female correspondent, as I recall.

here is a report from 2016 about a Michigan-based company moving 300 jobs to Mexico:

I recall Sam Francis, probably in Chronicles, quoting a john deere exec sneering about midwesterners, mostly white I gathered, seeing their jobs go to mexico.

The last time I had some sympathies for protestors: The 1999 Seattle WTO protests in which NAFTA was also targeted. It was the last gasp for 60's 70's 80's old guard liberals because this was an attack on the globalist agenda. Not that they still didn't have typical liberal delusions and much of what old liberals believed in evolved into wokism but it was the last time they challenged the architects of globalism. People were arrested and harsh sentences meted out for their "violence" (much harsher than what they handed out to Floyd et al protestors). After that, they were scared straight and a new generation of wokesters took over. Any anti globalist elements were scrubbed out. Now "progressives" support NAFTA and such because they bring "diversity" (alien invaders) which to them, supersedes anything else. They have no idea that they were infiltrated by globalist operatives who turned progressives into stooges rather than meaningful activists of any kind.
