I wasn't sure about this story would be interesting when I clicked on the headline but quickly became fascinated. I'd heard a little about some of the power struggle going on with the Redstone family and Viacom but didn't realize how much the #MeToo "movement" impacted it. http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/07/shari-redstone-cbs-viacom-media-empire.html?utm_source=pocket-newtab#comments
In behind the scenes struggles for corporate power one can see how #MeToo can be a potent weapon top use against your rivals and enemies. Shari Redstone is now sitting at the pinnacle of corporate power by leveraging her enemies out of power using #MeToo accusations. The story only passingly mentioned how Shari Redstone launched an investigation against Les Moonves, whom she hated and wanted removed, to uncover information about his sexual improprieties, but the implication is clear. Her father, Sumner Redstone, and Frank Gifford also had those accusation used against them, though did not insinuate Shari had anything to do with it, but I wonder about that. The article also spoke about how "old white men" were being replaced by a more diverse crowd, which we know will be women and blacks mostly. Considering what's at stake (control of multi billion dollar conglomerates), you don't think that certain power hungry people might actually exploit #MeToo for their own purposes. You'd be incredibly naive not to believe that.

He is a billionaire. We have to give him a little slack. Sure we do. One day he will flee or just disappear. You wait and see.
