MSNBC: “Race!”; “Racism!”; “White Supremacy!”; “We Never Have a Conversation About Racism!”

Pat Buchanan: The Left is obsessed with silencing America’s greatest living political thinker; conversely, Buchanan has no problem with debating his opponents; in fact, he loves it! The Left’s problem is that Buchanan regularly trounces them.

I’ve sent countless shipments of irony supplements to MSNBC, but they always refuse delivery.

“I don`t think the ideas that (Pat Buchanan) put forth (in Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?) are appropriate for the national dialogue, much less on MSNBC.”

I both love and respect Pat.

However, and most unfortunately the America Pat knew and loved is dead.

Sometimes I still read Pat, but I see how out of touch Pat has become as he tries to help solve America's problems as if we were the same ship that slipped of course and only in need of a bearing change, instead of recognizing that our ship has been transmogrified and we have a new orientation and destination.

I will always respect Pat for his love of our FF's America and his tireless effort to help America.

Pat might have been the difference had he been elected in 96.

PDK, thanks.

Al Sharpton is OK thought. NOT Pat but Al is OK.

What does that say? We all know.

How does anyone know if the ideas are appropriate or inappropriate if they cannot hear what the ideas are?

Yes me too. I read those great patriots of yesteryear. I love them, but they have no solutions for the present. Their America, and mine, of yesteryear is long gone. Those of us who have endured must now set a new course of action. The solutions of an age long gone will not work, if we are to survive we must have new leaders, new goals, new solutions, better resolve, coupled with unrelenting action with no apologies and with no forgiveness. Our survival and our descendents depend on us. We must not fail.

NS,

Here was the really strange part about MSNBC letting go of PJB.

The supposed reason MSNBC execs gave, PJB's latest book, is dumb. Why? PJB had already written a lot of books with those very same themes before MSNBC hired him. So why didn't it bother them then? Why only now?

I think the answer is that MSNBC hired PJB because he thought he would pick on the Stupid Party from the right. He did that enough, but I guess it still didn't make the typical funny farm MSNBC viewer happy.

Similarly, the reason ABC/ESPN gave for firing Hank Williams Jr from doing the MNF theme song is stupid because he did that pro-South song three years before ABC hired him initially to do the MNF theme song. What didn't bother them in 1991 about a 1988 song of his all of a sudden bothered them in 2011? C'mon.
