A mother was arrested after deputies responded to a home and found her three young daughters dead. Beverly White reports. Beverly White reports from unincorporated Torrance for the NBC4 News at 11 on Tuesday, May 20, 2014.
A mother was arrested Tuesday after her three young daughters were found dead at a home in Southern California, authorities said.
The girls' maternal grandmother made an emergency phone call for help about 5:10 p.m., saying the mother had killed or was killing the girls at the home in the 1000 block of West 223rd Street in unincorporated Torrance, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. When deputies arrived, they discovered the bodies of the girls, ages 3, 2 and 2 months.
The mother, identified as 30-year-old Carol Coronado, was arrested, detectives said. She was taken to the hospital for an undisclosed examination and was later taken to the Carson station jail.
Detectives did not release the cause of death or a possible motive. A witness told NBC4 the woman was naked, covered in blood and "zoned out."
The husband and grandmother were at the home at the time of the girls' deaths, detectives said.
Neighbors were in disbelief over the deaths of the three girls.
"Keep them in prayer, so sad," said Linda Herrera. "I know I'm not going to sleep tonight. I have all my kids at home with me."
Coronado does not have other children, detectives said.

We live behind this and the neighbor on one side of her plays EXTREMELY loud music all hours of the day and night. The neighbor on the otner side has an incessantly barking dog. I bet the mother hasnt slept since her first child was born. Sleep deprivation can cause psychosis. We have complained for years about these constant disruptions with no resolution. One sherriff threatened to arrest my husband for complaining about the dog. I have often wondered how the neighbors over there could stand it. This is so tragic. Now I wish we had sued the landlords to fix the problems. Those poor babies.

Solutions to commenter's points:
1) MOVE; your neighbors are obviously creeps.
2) Visit them personally and say, "Hey, you probably aren't aware, but we can't sleep; your music is too loud." Talk to *all* of your neighbors and ask them to multiply your voices to the cops.
3) Same with Barking Dog owners.
4) DRASTIC OPTION: Buy a crossbow, kill the dog, and remove the dog's body for secret disposal.
5) MUSIC PROBLEM: Intel gathering. When are residents home/away? Call sheriffs night and day to complain. If no resp., fix the problem yourself: Harass the neighbors as payback. One source: http://www.paladin-press.com/category/Revenge_and_Humor
I'm not eager to defend or justify Carol Coronado for what she did. But I agree that unending loud music and nuisance barking can drive someone over the brink. If Ms. Coronado's miserable neighbors did drive her to murder, it's horrible that her own children had to bear the brunt of her madness.
I would like to know more about Ms. Coronado's motives when more information becomes available.
One more thing: the sissy sheriff who threatened to arrest a law-abiding citizen for complaining about a chronically barking dog needs to find another career. He or she is only an embarrassment to real law enforcement officers. Do-nothing officers like this erode respect for the law. And the problems that they fail to address get bigger as time goes by.
