I can recall when being accused of rape would end a college athlete's career, let alone his chances at the Heisman. Nowadays, if the athlete is black, it may get him more votes.
If you google under “Jameis Winston” alone, you get 2.92 million hits, whereas, if you google under “Jameis Winston” and rape,” you come up with 34.4 million hits. But that doesn’t sense, and is I believe a symbol of Google’s deterioration as search engine over the past 10 years or so, rather than an accurate reading of the Web. The more keywords you add to a search, the more narrow the search should become, meaning that Google should spit out fewer hits, not more. Put it this way: Since not every entry on “Jameis Winston” mentions “rape,” “Jameis Winston” and rape” should have spit out fewer than 2.92 million hits.
