For patriots, today's Republican Party is most accurately defined as "an infinite loop of disappointment."
That statement was made by a Mark Steyn reader at Neo-Republican.
Although the reader was talking about the choice between Newt and Mitt, I think he hit upon a larger—or should I say, "smaller"?—truth.

Trouble is, when we reject Newt we're back to Mitt Romney. And vice versa. It's an infinite loop of disappointment. |
