Interesting that the series began in 1960, and was briefly carried on CBS in the summer of 1961- two years before the first Bond movie! Of course it was beneath the notice of the snob critics, and didn't receive any attention till the later revival as an hour series- after the 007 craze made spy stories "legitimate" fare. There was an excellent series in 1959 called FIVE FINGERS (starring David Hedison, loosely based on the movie), which was WAY too ahead of its time, and was thrown away by NBC after only half a season in a poor time spot. (Those may be available online somewhere, though in grungy-looking quality).
