Are the authorities seeking to railroad Timothy Busfield on a feather of a case?
N.S.: I confess. I have a pro-Busfield bias. I've never heard anything bad about him, and for four years, he gave me immense pleasure on a weekly basis. But this case sounds like a nothing burger.

I don't know enough about Busfield. I never heard rumors and his fervent denials mean little. Wait for the trial.
I never watched the show,though I taped a lot of tv programs back then(I worked the all nighter).
"Moonlighting","Cheers",Carson,Letterman. On the ol' VCR,lol.

I can't find anything online suggesting Busfield is gay, he's been married to women 3 times and appears to be hetero. Of course, that doesn't mean he couldn't be secretly into little boys but on the surface it doesn't seem likely. However, he does admit to have tickled the boys, explaining that the set was playful. The boys would have been around the ages of 7-8 yrs. old at the time and I would consider any kind of physical contact like that to be inappropriate so it does sound kind of weird to me. He also suggested that the boys mother vowed revenge on him for not bringing the boys back for the final season of the show. Who knows the truth of that but some women are quite capable of coaching their kids into false claims of sex abuse, Woody Allen learned that when he pissed off Mia Farrow.

The son was 52 years old, presumably well off, and died from "accidental" overdose of multiple drugs (as if there's a "safe" dosage of meth, fentanyl, and lidocaine!) (that's a pain-killer- had to look it up). A 52-year-old son of a (sort-of) famous singer puts that junk in his body? Pathetic. If it matters, Jackson Browne Is of course a Lefty.

Well, if the father was a jerk, not hard to believe that the apple fell not far from the tree. Before stardom dawned, Donald was always cast as psychotic killers or literal imbeciles. And he was very convincing. (OK, he was a good actor- but in real life, a jerk!)

BUSFIELD PASSES POLYGRAPH TEST--WHICH CAN BE USED IN NEW MEXICO COURTS(DEPENDING ON THE JUDGE)
(ap noise)Defense attorney Larry Stein said Timothy Busfield submitted to an independent polygraph test within the last couple of days. There was “no deception — (he) passed the polygraph test,” Stein said by phone Wednesday.
“We plan on responding in detail to establish that he should not be detained” as the case proceeds, Stein said.
New Mexico is among a few states that allow polygraph evidence in criminal cases, said Laurie Levenson, a professor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and a former federal prosecutor. But a judge would have final say over whether it can be used, she said, and there are strict requirements for admission.
“It may not be a test that qualifies,” Levenson said of the polygraph cited by Busfield’s attorneys. “But it’s something that helps the defense maybe both in the court of public opinion and maybe in approaching law enforcement and the prosecutors with taking another look at the case.”
