The 1965 Watts/L.A. rioting also brought out the worst in hollywood legend Budd Schulberg

Another upshot of the 1965 Watts/L.A. rioting: Budd Schulberg, who had some good things to his credit (On the Waterfront, The Harder They Fall, What Makes Sammy Run), showed he could be as liberal as the rest by establishing a "writers' workshop" for the underprivileged "youths" of Watts. Because if you just give the little darlings an outlet to express themselves, they won't grow up to be violent thugs. None of which would matter to me, except that in another instance of LIFE IS NOT FAIR, he was married to The Most Beautiful Woman In The World, actress Geraldine Brooks, who tragically died of cancer at 51 years of age. No idea if she shared his liberalism, or was just along for the ride. -RM

PS-I checked to see if Pete Hamill's columns, which I referred to recently were anywhere online, and got this from google's ai:

"Pete Hamill did not write a column specifically about the actor Robert Ryan. The confusion likely stems from Hamill's column for the Daily News in which he sometimes referred to himself as "Ryan". "

Well, so much for "Artificial Intelligence." Something else to spread idiocy online! (I have the column saved in my files somewhere. Who should I donate this stuff to when I go?)

[N.S.: Me! Assuming you go first.]

An organization not run by blacks, fags, or White women-- The "RM Library/Museum of Facts." Build your own place, and designate how it should be run.

Top notch pic of Brooks. Others I looked up...not near as good. Quite attractive though.

Thanks, GRA. Although I could tell she was stunning, she also was one of those women who is hard to do justice to.
