“(wtmw) authorities said they are investigating more than 530 tips and leads as they continue to search for Robert Card, the suspect wanted in connection with two mass shootings in Lewiston, maine, that killed at least 18 people and wounded 13 others.

“an arrest warrant was issued for Card, 40, of Bowdoin, on thursday, charging him with eight counts of murder. more charges were anticipated by state officials as the identities of additional shooting victims were officially confirmed.

“Mike Sauschuck, public safety commissioner, said during a news conference friday morning that shelter-in-place orders for Lewiston, auburn, lisbon and Bowdoin remain active as of friday morning. he said evidence collection at the shooting scenes in Lewiston will take several more days.

“Sauschuck provided more information on search areas, saying that divers will search the androscoggin river, where Card’s car was found near the boat launch.

“the fbi has opened a digital tip line for people to submit information about the suspect or the shootings.

“everal search warrants were executed at a Bowdoin home on meadow road. officials say any announcements heard over a loudspeaker were standard for a search warrant.

“Sauschuck said they plan to hold a 10 a.m. news conference daily to give updates on search efforts.

“investigators have searched Card’s home, saying they found a suicide note addressed to the suspected shooter’s son.”

GRA: A watery grave looks more and more likely—unless, that’s what Card wanted everyone to believe. As one official said, “He could be in texas.”

Why the official would pick that state out is somewhat interesting—to me.

YES. A ruse to throw the pursuers off the track.

CARD OWNED A 15 FOOT BOAT AND SKI-DOO

Inside Edition reported Card had a 15 foot boat AND a Ski-doo.IE's tour of the river with a local fisherman showed many small wooded islands on either side. The fisherman said,"He could have made it to the Atlantic Ocean rather easily or could be hiding on one of the islands. No one would ever find him."

The easy way to discount that option is for police to say they found the boat and ski-doo.I heard today the stay in place order was lifted in a few cities. If the boat and skidoo are accounted for, that then is the key to whether he escaped or not.

. And the cops aren't saying.
