The perp appears to be black and/or hispanic. No, he's not a "suspect." When you get filmed in the commission of a crime, you're not entitled to such euphemisms, not unless you're White and did not harm a fellow White.

It is always a risk to get involved in a violent incident because the people may become violent toward you and you may not be as strong or able to defend yourself or maybe they have a weapon you don't see or know about.
But a reasonable person who's not a total coward would not fail to intervene to help this poor woman because of Bragg or Adams or anyone else. It is nothing like for example the Daniel Penny case, however one looks at that. Because here she was being beaten, whereas Jordan Neely had not assaulted anyone but his behavior was seen as threatening (because it was).
Sad reality is this same thing could happen anywhere now where there is no Bragg or Adams. People feel little sense of responsibility for others. Fear for their own safety or of just getting involved is stronger.
On the positive side lots of "diversity" on display.
If you think that the mayor and da's beliefs,concerning law enforcement,don't influence the citizenry about how to behave in general --or specifically,in helping a crime victim--then you don't understand the power of the "bully pulpit".If people see others get prosecuted for stopping a crime,you will not assist.Likewise,you treat a criminal better,give him more rights than a law abiding citizen,people notice that too--and crime will go up,while future Daniel Penny's will let a crime occur,instead of stepping in to stop it.

Does anyone know what happened to Daniel Perry? Has he been pardoned? I searched and could not find any recent articles. Also the man who took on the subway thug who later died. After the initial stories the information dried up.
This bad guy needs to be put away forever.
