The terrible reputation of Josef Mengele comes primarily from two allegations against him:

1) that he selected Jews for the gas chamber when trains arrived at Auschwitz, and

2) he performed cruel medical experiments, for example on twins.

There is no hard evidence for either of these. All accusations against him are based on "eyewitness" and "survivor" testimony, none of it given under oath or in a court where it would have been subject to cross-examination. A lot of it is rather obviously fanciful invention and should be regarded as equivalent to the tales of soap made from Jewish fat and lampshades made from the skin of Jews, both now known/conceded to have been propaganda lies.

Part of the objective of propaganda is to make people disbelieve EVERYTHING they hear.You might even disbelieve that statement.If you don't believe anything being reported is true,the news is meaningless and government can do what it wants with zero oversight by media--which is supposed to be one of its functions.
