Archie Bunker lived in Queens.I can't top their crime episode when Cleavon Little and Demond Wilson broke into the Bunker's house,while they were at a movie.But as bad as crime was in 1971,these days,you'd have to think Archie would have a long,accurate,hilarious list of things to say about the Adams' crime wave,while Mike and Gloria would defend the blackie.That however,is not in this episode.

Archie:So far this week,the j-boos have broken into the McNabbs on Monday,the Heffners house the next day--and then--on the other side of us--the Lorenzo's,on Wednesday.
Edith:They skipped us.I guess we don't have anything the crooks are interested in stealing.
Archie:What are YOU talking about?This chair of mine is an antique--but the coons don't know anything about dem kinds of collector's items.
Mike:Apparently they do--that's why it's still sitting here.
Archie:SHUT UP--YOU.
Mike:I'm not complaining Arch,you figured out the easy way to prevent break-ins--own 20 year old furniture.
Archie(angry first--then changes expression):Ya know Meathead,you might have sumpthin there--except--it's only 19 years old--now GET AWAY FROM ME!
(Mike cracks a smile,shakes his head).
Gloria:Honey,we better get moving if we're going to catch the bus to go the museum today.
Archie:HOLD IT--no offspring of mine's going on a New York city bus in the year of our Lord,2022--I forbid it.The only thing more dangerous than taking a city bus is spending a day with the the coons and P.R.s at Rykers--and I'd almost take my chances at Rykers.Here--here's 20 bucks--take a cab.
Gloria:Thank you,daddy.
Edith:That's very thoughtful,Archie.
Archie:It's a LOAN,little goil--you'll pay me back outta your next paycheck from Kresslers.I'd ask the Meathead for the money back,but--as usual---no el-jobbo.
Mike:All right Arch,you know I'm a full time student.
Archie:Yeah,of commie crappola.
Gloria:The cab's here--let's go Michael.
Edith:See ya later you two.
(Mike and Gloria leave--Archie and Edith sit down in their living room chairs)
Edith:I LIKE our furniture,Archie.
(Archie's face softens)
Archie:You know something Edith?You're a pip--a real pip.

What is it about blacks and rape? Outside observers blame the conflict, not the perps but I don't accept that, while conflicts may exacerbate, there's a genetic predisposition at work in there somewhere.
