At the start of a notable column, "Freedom Versus Democracy," from 1997, Thomas Sowell wrote:
THE ONLY TIME I have left a court room with more respect for the law than I had going in was in a court in Hong Kong, when it was under British colonial rule.
I highly recommend that brief piece. Anyway, the even briefer article below provides a good example of the sewer that is American "justice."

BOSTON — The case against a Newton judge accused of helping a man who was living in the U.S. illegally sneak out of a courthouse to evade a federal immigration agent can move forward, a federal appeals court has ruled.
The court on Monday declined to dismiss the case against Newton District Court Judge Shelley Joseph and retired court officer Wesley MacGregor, The Boston Globe reported.
Their lawyers had argued that the 10th Amendment to the Constitution bars federal agencies from requiring state officers to enforce federal law, and that Joseph is protected from federal prosecution under judicial immunity, according to court documents.
Judge William Kayatta, writing on behalf of a three-judge panel of the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, said the court does not have jurisdiction to review the case because Joseph, who lives in Natick, has not yet faced trial.
Joseph and MacGregor let the man escape out a rear door in April 2018 after a hearing while an immigration agent was in the courtroom to detain him. The Dominican man had twice been deported and been barred from entering the U.S. until 2027, prosecutors said.
The man was caught by immigration officials about a month later, according to reports.
Joseph and the court officer are charged with obstruction of justice.
Joseph's lawyer said "we are reviewing all our options."

WHY at all is the criminal allowed to EVER enter the USA again?? Second time you enter illegally is a felony.
I feel it is my solemn obligation to repeat, or report, i.e. I'm not sure if I posted it here before or not, a little known fact about her: she's almost certainly Jewish.
This is her husband: Scott A. Joseph -- he's definitely Jewish.
The illegal she helped escape was accused of serious crimes, drugs and DUI. But people like her don't care.
I also saw she was put on 'administrative leave' after her indictment and arrest, meaning she was, and maybe still is, being paid -- remember that the next time some White is immediately fired for saying or doing something even slightly racially incorrect.
You KNOW there won't be sufficient punishment--which I consider to be removal,disbarrment,hanging(lol)--so it comes down to her "friends" in high places who can cut her a deal--which makes it a no justice/non-legal case.
Would love to be surprised.
