The fact that none of the men have been identified and that federal agencies have not spoken out about their famous photo guarantees that they are indeed federal agents.
Thanks to the alert photographer who was able to catch this now-famous image of the federal government’s recent operation targeting Trump supporters and those who value the rule of law.
I have no idea if they were federal agents are not; I admit they don't really look like the boomer types you'd expect to see at such an event (FWIW) -- but I don't find the 'proof' offered by the GWP and the 'federal agent acquaintance' convincing.

This event was organized by Matt Braynard (Twitter/Matt Braynard) to draw attention to the plight of those arrested and being prosecuted for entering the Capitol on Jan 06 -- it wasn't about Trump or the 2020 election, albeit some of the people there were probably Trump supporters.
AFAIK, Trump hasn't said shit about them/their treatment; included is the malevolent and dishonest media rhetoric calling them 'insurrectionists' -- Trump made a shitty little CYA video the afternoon of Jan 06 saying basically they deserved to have the book thrown at them.
At this point, the narcissistic buffoon Trump is doing more harm than good by absorbing political energy on the Right when he's not really enough of an alternative, as he proved throughout his administration.
The other info in the article about the FBI's criminal shenanigans in the Whitmer plot is of course 100% valid and important (as well as covered/corroborated elsewhere) -- and it's no doubt the tip of the iceberg.
